I had an absolutely amazing experience with Freeride Tarifa and can highly recommend the school! From the very beginning, Vanessa took great care of us. She was always available for questions, incredibly friendly and helpful, and even supported us with getting to the kite spot whenever we had trouble organizing transportation. The lessons themselves were fantastic. I spent my first three days with Thomas, who is an incredibly motivating and passionate instructor. You can really feel how much he enjoys teaching, and he celebrates every little bit of progress with you. I learned a huge amount in a very short time and was already getting up on the board after just three days. Later in the week I also had lessons with Vanessa and Charles, and they were both great as well. Every instructor had their own way of explaining things and gave me valuable tips that helped me improve further. Tarifa can definitely be challenging for beginners because of the changing wind and sea conditions, but I actually see that as a big advantage. You get to experience and learn in a variety of conditions – and always with instructors who make you feel safe and supported. Most importantly, I had an incredible amount of fun and left the course wanting more. I will definitely continue kitesurfing and already know where I want to come back for my next lessons: Freeride Tarifa. Hopefully next year at the latest! 🤙

I had a fantastic experience with Freeride. They have very experienced and skilled instructors. They meet you at your level and help you progress rapidly while prioritizing safety above all. I took a couple of lessons with other schools before arriving in Tarifa and could see the difference in the quality of instruction offered by Freeride. When I started I was struggling to go upwind. Oleg identified my mistakes and suggested changes in my technique, body position in particular. Following his instructions transformed my experience from struggling to being in full control of the speed and direction I was going in. Then Thom and Ollie helped me all the way to riding independently and even attempting small jumps, all in 15 hours of lessons. They coached me through a variety of different weather conditions in Tarifa which gives me confidence to ride independently. I recommend Freeride for anyone learning the sport.

I was accompanied by Olivier for a 5-day introductory course with a friend. His teaching methods and experience in the field allowed us to go from beginners to almost completely independent in diverse and varied conditions. I highly recommend him!

Excellent kitesurfing school – highly recommended! I had lessons with Oli, Vanessa, Thom, and Oleg, and I can wholeheartedly recommend all four of them. Each of them explained the individual steps in great detail, patiently, and clearly. You immediately notice that they place great emphasis on ensuring you truly understand the technique and feel confident on the water. I especially appreciated the calm, friendly, and respectful atmosphere. I felt very comfortable from the start and never felt pressured. The atmosphere was simply fantastic and made learning all the more enjoyable. The lessons with Thom were particularly helpful for me, as he speaks German. My English isn't very good, and he was able to explain many things to me again in German, which made a huge difference to my understanding. Many thanks to Oli, Vanessa, Thom, and Oleg for the wonderful time and professional instruction! I learned a great deal and had a lot of fun at the same time. I can absolutely recommend Freeride – great school, great team and a super atmosphere! 🤙🏄‍♂️🪁🌊☀️

A friend and I were in Tarifa from August 13th to 21st, with the idea of finally trying kitesurfing after talking about it for almost a year. We chose this school to get started, and we couldn't have found a better way to enter the world of kitesurfing. We were starting from scratch, and they guided us step by step with great professionalism, patience, and availability. Thanks to them, we learned the basics and, most importantly, discovered a new passion that we now absolutely want to continue pursuing. See you soon, guys!

Excellent kitesurfing school, very serious about teaching and safety. I learned to kitesurf with Freeride in 2019 and have already returned twice as an experienced kitesurfer to improve my skills. I'm always delighted to take lessons with them, both for the progress I make and the very friendly atmosphere. There are many kitesurfing schools in Tarifa, but Freeride truly stands out! Go for it without hesitation!
